MOU signed between the Department of Laws, PU and ICA

Chandigarh, Sanjay Pahwa :
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed today between the Registrar on behalf of the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Sh. Ram Niwas, Home Secretary-cum-Director, Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh for undertaking of collaborative research/studies in the areas of interest to Police/Prison and Correctional Administration.
Prof. Nishtha Jaswal, Chairperson, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Upneet Lalli, Deputy Director, Institute of Correctional Administration was also present on this occasion. This MOU will benefit the faculty, staff and students of the Department to encourage actionable research at the university level for joint development of relevant projects.
The students and faculty of the department can use the library facilities and other data collection resources of Institute of Correctional Administration. The ICA will guide the interns / students in the areas of prison administration. Joint workshops and seminars in the areas of criminal justice system will be organized by the Institute and Department of Laws.
