The members condemned political motivated report attempting corruption charges on Mr. Bansal and they pledged to stand by Mr. Bansal at all times and will not let him down.
Mr. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi asserted that the Congressmen would like to know under what pressure Additional Deputy Commissioner P S Shergill filed such a baseless report. He also sought to know the procedure adopted by Mr. Shergill to conduct the inquiry,
He also stated that Mr. Bansal’s work clearly signifies the faith of people on him and as the elections are approaching, the BJP aims, as usual, to encash such ill conceived issues for their own political gains. The gathering assured that such mischievous motives will not be allowed to receive dividend by so called political rivals in City like Chandigarth.
