Guess who was in town to brighten up your morning! – It’s none other than the pretty and bubbly Sara Khan who essays the role of the quintessential Punjabi kudi Mona Singh Bedi on Zee TV’s Ram Milaayi Jodi!
Sara currently made her way into the city to meet and greet the people who she holds responsible for her mass acceptance – her fans!!
Ram Milaayi Jodi follows the journey of a typically care-free Punjabi girl who falls in love and marries a shy reticent Gujarati boy Anukalp Gandhi. Post marriage she must then adjust to the tunes of a somewhat conservative and rather 'propah' Gujarati household. The show beautifully highlights the myriad differences in the cultural make-up of a Gujarati and Punjabi family and how the two families brought together by Mona and Anukalp's love amicably reconcile these differences and learn to live together happily. The show is an ode to our country's secular mindset where there is unity despite diversity and people of different faiths and religions co-exist peacefully. Sara's sunny, affable character Mona who displays a willingness to adapt to the ways of another community for the sake of love is at the very heart of this story and embodies the secular message of the show.
At present the happily married bride on her show Ram Milaayi Jodi, Mona and her shy hubby Anukalp are trying their very best to adjust to the vastly different cultures and mindsets of their individual households. Though they may see testing times, their love for each other manages to diffuse tensions and resolve issues amicably. However, it goes without saying that every married couple also needs some private time for themselves and the upcoming episodes will see them trying their very best to find those fleeting intimate moments that brings them closer to one another.
