Chandigarh, Sanjay Pahwa: - The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has decided to go face to face with citizens of Chandigarh from today itself.
While making this statement, Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh today said that Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has launched a page on facebook i.e.
http:/www.facebook.com/Municipal CorporationChandigarh with linkage to its parent website http:mcchandigarh.nic.in. It will act as a direct interface between public, officials and councilors of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Now anyone can lodge their complaints and share their views directly with the Municipal Corporation concerning developmental works and civic amenities.
He further said that now people of Chandigarh can send their problems through facebook and the concerned department will be asked to treat them within 15 days positively. Giving an example, the Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has a well planned system of water supply distribution, under ground network of pipes for disposal of sewerage. But some times it comes to the vein of the officials that there is some gap between the service delivery and the expectation of public. It is one of its kind initiative by any urban local body in the region.
