Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

ANNUAL DAY AT CIHM
Chandigarh: Sanjay Pahwa: Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Sec-42, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual day & prize distribution function on Wednesday, April 6th , in the auditorium of the institute . Sh Ram Niwas IAS, Home Secretary Chandigarh graced the occasion as the chief guest. The programme took off with the lighting of ‘inaugural lamp’ & g Saraswati Vandana presented by girl students of the Institute. The Principal of the Institute Mr. T.K.Razdan highlighted the academic, sports and curricular achievements of the institute during the year. The chief attraction of the celebration was the cultural programme which included various dances which were given a big round of applause by audience. The august audience included the Hoteliers, parents of the students and head of institutions. Prizes were awarded by the Chief Guest to the meritorious students who excelled in academics, sports etc. The annual magazine of the institute ‘Cater Craft’ was also released on the occasion.

In his presidential address Sh Ram Niwas eulogized the laurels of the institute and appreciated the decorum and decency of the staff and students
He had special words of praise for ‘Hunar se Rozgaar’ project which not only imparts training in culinary skills but also focuses on attitude building.
A vote of thanks was passed by Mr. Vishal Kalia Senior lecturer. The curtain came down on the function with the National Anthem .
