Cricket Fan club, Gurukul Vidyapeeth cuts 11 cakes to cheer for Team India

The Cricket Fan Club at Gurukul Vidyapeeth has organized yet another ceremony to celebrate the triumph of our Cricket team and to cheer them for the finals at Mumbai. The Cricket Fan Club of Gurukul Vidyapeeth today held a cake-cutting ceremony at their corporate office at sector 20 C Chandigarh.
The Cricket Fan Club cut 11 cakes of 11kg.each for the team members to celebrate the victory of our team in the semi-final and to pray for them for the 2011 World Cup Finals against Sri Lanka to be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 2nd 2011.
The ceremony had jubilant students wearing masks of the players of the Indian Cricket team. CEO cum Chairman of the Gurukul Vidyapeeth Group of Institutes, CA Manmohan Kumar Garg and Executive Director Deshraj Thakral, Gurukul Vidyapeeth with whole team were also present at the event held at the corporate office.
CA ManmohanKumar Garg, CEOGurukulVidyapeeth said “Everyone is excited for the World Cup final tomorrow in Mumbai. Both Indian and Sri Lankan teams are strong but we have full faith in our team and we know that we will win the World Cup this time. Like Kapil Dev in 1983 , this time also Chandigarh Icon Yuvraj singh will make us pride ”
“The Cricket Fan Club Gurukul Vidyapeeth Chandigarh has been doing a lot of activities since the beginning of the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2011 fromlaunching of cake ceremony then Hawan by Eleven Players and today on eve of end of world cup 2011 we are dedicating 11 cakes to our playing 11 to win the world cup. ” said Deshraj Thakral ED , Gurukul.
A student wearing a mask of one of the team members of the Indian Cricket team stated, “ Pakistan ko do diya hai ab Lanka Dahan Hone Wali Hai” India has played really well and made a place for itself in the finals and we really want our team to win.”
Students of GurukulVidyapeeth said “Today we are celebrating this eve in this part of country with lot of messages and Best wishes to our Playing eleven to win the ICC world cup 2011 and we hope our team will be world champion.
11 kg.of each 11 cakes and sweets were distributed in the whole computers, cloth & education market of Sector 20 C and D Chandigarh.
The ceremony ended with students joyfully singing of world cup song.
